I cringed reading the following quote off the CNN wire:
"Today does not mark the end of our economic troubles," Obama said before signing the bill at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. "But it does mark the beginning of the end - the beginning of what we need to do to create jobs for Americans scrambling in the wake of layoffs; to provide relief for families worried they won't be able to pay next month's bills; and to set our economy on a firmer foundation."
Now capitalists are the nazi's and socialism are the British flyers over the English Channel?
Mr. Gibbs, speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on the way to Denver, said, “I think the president is going to do what’s necessary to grow this economy.” While “there are no particular plans at this point for a second stimulus package,” he added, “I wouldn’t foreclose it.”
No ... but they will forclose us, the taxpayers.
The expectation is that all this spending will create or save 3.5 million jobs over the next two years.
Only 70 billion in tax cuts, and Democrats are disappointed that there wasn't $70 billion more in spending.
It has become A sad day knowing that our children will not have the freedoms and choices that we have. We are giving them the country that our four fathers left. They will not know the USA without thinking government, when yet we USED to think of USA and think freedom. It is sad that the press and the leaders in Washington have worked so hard to hide freedom of choice from our kids and have pushed Socialism as a good thing for the youth of America. Government is not always the answer, if you looked at the houseing situation and thought poor people rather than, how and why did you get that loan when you did not even have a job, then you should live in Europe not what used to be the greatest country on Earth the USA. Grow up and take responsablitity people.
